Sector 17 is Chandigarh’s original city-centre plan — the Le Corbusier grid’s commercial heart, and still the reference point Tricity renters compare every other sector against. It’s the highest-connectivity locality Nexscore tracks in the Tricity: the nearest transit point is roughly 300 metres away, and flood risk here is low relative to the rest of the region.
What renters should know
- Sector 17’s connectivity score is close to the ceiling of what Nexscore records anywhere in the Tricity — if a short commute matters more than anything else, this is one of the two or three sectors to start with.
